Maverick Fox, grade 3, “Observational Drawing,” pencil & crayon on paper, 9×12 in.
Third grade students were asked to draw from observation. We studied values and practiced using our pencils to shade in order to make objects look three dimensional. Maverick’s observation is a true sign of the times! He was able to look around his working space and notice so many details. Even his computer screen has his Zoom showing, with all of his classmates’ smiling faces. Beautiful use of observation in your drawing, Mav!
