Here, Smriti creates a composition of balanced positive and negative space, depicting an angler fish in the process. The space inside the angler fish is filled with various mark-making techniques, playing with line weight and pattern. This drawing, at least in part, was a practice in automatic drawing, which plays with mark-making as a mindful and meditative process.
