We discussed the life and work of the French impressionist painter. Students were then asked to create a drawing that felt like "plain air" or as if they were working outside. Owen did a fantastic job creating his outdoor space. His use of blending cool colors in the sky creates a dark and stormy mood in the atmosphere. Owen's work is a great example of exploring and appreciating materials.

If any shortcuts are taken, a coil built pot will crack or crumble. Here, Bailey has passed these hurdles, and created her own take on the coil pot, adding her own twist on a traditional method.
